China’s Digital Consumers

Posted in China Business, Recommended Reading

If you are not reading the McKinsey Quarterly, you should be. It is an absolutely superb source of information regarding China and, in particular, China as market. It is consistently the best source for free in-depth analysis of the China market. Its latest issue included a report entitled “Understanding China’s Digital Consumers” and that is exactly what the report helps its readers do.

If your business has any connection with China’s digital consumers, this report is a must read. And while on the subject of China’s digital consumers, I also heartily recommend the following blogs which oftentimes deal with this subject:

What do you think?

Thanks for this. I’d downloaded the report but your post has inspired me to actually read it! And China IWOM Blog is new for me. Looks great.
If you’re interested, I’ve collected the best China blogs I’ve found on a single page called http://china.collected.info/ (China Law Blog is there as well, of course). I rss that page for all my China news.
All the best, and thanks for the great blog!

As for other sources of info, I usually translate and summarize the Chinese gov’s data on Chinese Internet users and put it on my blog, http://www.east-west-connect.com. I see it’s on http://china.collected.info too. :) http://ChinaInternetWatch.com also has some useful news collected from other sources.
As for this report, it’s a nice summary tailored towards traditional marketers that want a snapshot of China’s Internet users. I’m not sure there’s anything new in it though, is there?
