China's Minimum Wage(s). Graphically.
Caixin online has a great graphic setting out the minimum wage in various China provinces and cities (h/t Taikongren's Advice). I think this graphic's greatest use is as a rough starting point for comparing salaries among cites and regions than as a legal tool. I say this because among the cities and regions on this graphic of which I am familiar, you will need to pay more than the minimum wage if you are interested in keeping your employees.

Nice, but not very useful as no mention of the amount of mandatory welfare that has to be paid. That also varies considerably and there's no regional mention of it. You've only got half a story here and half the employment cost.

Wage rates have been rising steadily in China since 1980. Unfortunately, all this (increase in the minimum wage) will do is increase unemployment and therefore social instability, which I am quite sure the bureaucrats who thought up this idea did not intend.

All the wages regionally change from 1st August 2010 after Central Government and local Government finish discussions which happens every year which means this news and link is very late and a year out of date. We're looking at happening soon not what we already know. Any comments from Dan welcome on what he thinking will happens not on what is fact alreadys.

On a different note, did China just block LinkedIn.com ?

Agreed little point in pushing this info already 11 months old. Guess must be short on China stories in holiday season! Dans probably on a beach if he has any sense. Come back in September!
