Shanghai And Beijing Maps Good Enough For Tom Cruise

Mapmatrix.com has what appear to be excellent maps of Shanghai and Beijing in pdf format. (h/t to James Fallows)

The Beijing-map seems very much up to date, with venues from the Games. Except for some minor, but obvious mistakes, this looks like an excellent map.

I'm sorry but this map really has a lot of places which are out of date. The two that I can see for a start are the failure to show the extension of the Airport Expressway to meet 2nd Ring just north of Dongzhimen, and the failure to show Jinbao Jie which connects East 2nd Ring to Jinyu Hutong. It seems to me they have just overlaid the new Olympic venues on an old map from about 4 years ago.

you may find a lot of beijing maps here http://www.beijingfacts.org/map.htm
