Fighting Chinese Price Fluctuations

If you drink milk the way I drink milk, (frequently and in large quantities) you might have spotted this already: Costco and Wal-Mart are changing how they sell milk.

What does this have to do with China? This is a great example of how to deal with price increases in manufacturing and packaging, an issue that many American companies are facing in China today.

China Business Success Stories and Spend in China also cited milk cartons pend in China also wrote recently on some of the ways companies are combating inflation in China.

The article suggests four steps that can help combat this:
1) Adjust your packaging to save money.
2) Shorten the transport distance needed for product assembly.
3) Cut out the middleman (unless they're adding value, they are just costing you money)
4) Don't just accept all price increases, make sure they're legit first.

The full original article, which goes into more detail on each of these points, is available at SourceJuice.
