China's New Tax Law Seminar -- Shanghai, June 21, 2007
On Thursday, June 21, from 7pm to 9pm, Dezan Shira & Associates will be putting on a seminar on "China’s Unified Corporate Income Tax Legislation: The Implications of the New Tax Law." The seminar will be at The Executive Centre, 989 Changle Road, 20th Floor. Admission is free.
Amanda Gan, an Associate in Dezan Shira's Corporate Accounting Services and Ronin Lin, a Manger in that same department, will be the speakers. The China Briefing Blog describes this upcoming seminar as follows:
China has recently approved a new unified income tax rate of 25% to take effect from January 1, 2008, however, certain aspects of this new rate have yet to be clarified.
- What happens to companies who applied for their business licenses prior to this date?
- What will happen to the preferential tax rates in Free Trade Zones and Special Economic Zones?
- How are tax holidays affected?
This presentation by Dezan Shira's leading team of Chinese qualified lawyers and accountants will outline the SAT’s position, clarify some of the outstanding tax questions and provide a better understanding of what rates are applicable to what businesses, where, and when.
