Chengdu, China Has Intel Inside

The Asia Logistics Blog just posted what serves as a great follow-up to my post yesterday touting China's infrastructure as giving it the edge over any "next China" wannabes.  Entitled, "Intel Tackles the Chinese Frontier," the post focuses on Intel's decision to locate a big plant in Chengdu and it goes into great depth as to how that decision was made and its repercussions.  Seems Intel is quite content in Chengdu and it is expanding its operations there.

This is an excellent post for anyone deciding where to locate a facility and for those wanting to learn more about China's infrastructure and its "frontier."

Chengdu has Moto, Nokia, Alcatel, and a lot of others coming in as well.

If you build it, they will come.

Thanks for checking in.

Of equal importance, at least to me, Chengdu has Sichuan restaurants in abundance. Yum.

Unfortunately, some of the best are being replaced by developments. When I was there last month, I visited one in the middle of a Pipai grove... amazing.. 2 weeks ago... gone

Luckily, the restuarant only had chilis and a tank of fish to move :)
